Katie and Cash are married and I’m excited to share a few of my favorite images from their wedding day!

Katie and Cash chose to have a first look on their wedding day. In case you’re not familiar with a first look, it’s a way of being a little untraditional and you and your fiancé see each other before the ceremony. While it is untraditional it does give you a chance to get rid of the nerves and also a great opportunity for bride and groom portraits.

Katie wanted to have her first look with photographs of her walking down the wooden staircase at The Milestone. In order to get the first look going the fabulous staff at The Milestone helped me out to get the groom in place. We asked Cash to hide in the men’s restroom, while the wedding coordinator assisted Katie in getting upstairs to walk down. Once Katie was upstairs we brought Cash out and placed him in position and blindfolded him, just to make sure he wasn’t going to peek. Everyone was excited to see and hear his reaction, since we were joined by their moms and bridal party. I could hear all the oohs and aahs as they saw Katie walking down the stairs and even more when Cash was smiling and telling Katie how beautiful she looked.
