texas discovery gardens wedding at fair park in dallas texas by dallas wedding photographer Texas Discovery Gardens Wedding |

Maria and Leo were married on July 11th. I met with Maria at her parents home for a few getting ready photos of her and her bridesmaids. Then we headed to St. Pius X Catholic Church in Garland, TX. They had a traditional Catholic ceremony, followed by a fun wedding reception at the Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park in Dallas, TX.

Wedding vendors:

  • Venue –  Texas Discovery Gardens
  • Cakes –  Annies Culinary Cakes
  • DJ – DFW EventCreations
  • Photographer – Monica Salazar Photography

Love the bride’s light pink wedding shoes!
I took advantage of the extra time we had to capture a bridal portrait of Maria as she waited on the coordinator to call her to walk down the aisle. The groom waiting on his future wife to walk down the aisle to him.Another bridal portrait after the ceremony and family portraits by my second photographer. A great bride and groom portrait outside of the church. Love these centerpieces filled with hydrangeas and roses.
This cake was beautiful! I love how the baker added all the perfect flowers! The perfect groom’s cake for all the Dallas Cowboys fans!
A few more bride and groom portraits around the gardens during their reception. Bride and groom’s first dance in the glass wall covered venue at Fair Park. Speeches and toasts by the maid of honor and best man. This is a popular tradition at Mexican weddings. We had it at our wedding too! It’s called la vibora and all the women take a turn and then the men. They dance around like a snake  around the venue and then the bouquet is tossed and then the same follows for the men with the garter toss. A few portraits before I had to leave for the evening.
