Ranch Engagement Photos with Kathleen and Lance |
This past Friday I traveled to East Texas to meet up with Kathleen and Lance. On our mini road trip we enjoyed seeing tall trees and the beauty of the country side of life.
Kathleen called me when we were about 20-30 minutes away from the ranch to let me know it was pouring rain. Of course we didn’t let this stop their engagement session. After all, we both drove for a couple of hours to make their photos happen. By the time we arrived the storm had cleared a bit and we managed to get some pretty sunlight in their photos. Kathleen shared her story with us of why this location was so important to her. The ranch has been in her family for years and it’s where her dad grew up. It used to be a dairy farm at one time. They still have cows over in the pasture area of their land. One of the things I loved seeing was the view of their ranch, but also the original photos that hung in their ranch style home’s wood walls. They had classic posters from the Fort Worth Stock Show and even aerial shots of when the ranch was a working dairy farm.
I also heard the awesome story of how they caught an alligator in one of their creeks. It’s definitely interesting to live in the country from time to time.
Congratulations again Kathleen and Lance! I can’t wait for your wedding in December!
