DALLAS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS
Elopement at the Dallas Arboretum in
Orchid Hollow Garden
Gloria and Davon’s elopement at the Dallas Arboretum in the Orchid Hollow Garden.
This sweet couple united in marriage on a popular and one-of-a-kind date. Their wedding day was on a Tuesday “Twosdays and the date was 2/22/22 and also known as a palindrome. Although a winter storm was in the midst of coming through Dallas, they were able to have their elopement on their chosen date.
The Dallas winter ice storm did arrive the following day. It wasn’t as bad as the winter storm of February 2021, but it was still bad enough that many of the streets were covered in ice and slick for drivers to be out and about.
But now back to Gloria and Davon’s wedding day. Their elopement ceremony was held in the Orchid Hollow garden. It’s a small garden that is very private and hard to find if you don’t know your way around the Dallas Arboretum. There were four people total at their elopement and that included the couple, officiant, me, and the venue coordinator.
Orchid Hollow is located closer to White Rock Lake and you can feel the wind a lot stronger in that area. So huge Kudos to the bride for braving the cold and super chilly wind that kept blowing through. After the ceremony, they took a few photos in the same garden, and then we moved on to other areas of the Arboretum.
Some of the other gardens we used for their portraits were the Woman’s Garden, Crape Myrtle Allee, and the Sunken Garden.
Make sure to check out some of my favorite photos from their elopement at the Dallas Arboretum in the gallery below.
