Meet Caleb and Rachel – Caleb and Rachel were united in marriage in April. They had a beautiful wedding ceremony at The Room on Main in downtown Dallas, TX.
Let me tell you a little about their wedding day and how they met. On their wedding day I met Rachel, her mom Charlene and the bridesmaids and mother of the groom at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas. I went to their hotel room and Rachel was in the process of getting her hair and makeup done for the big day. While I was capturing some getting ready and detail wedding photos I was talking to her mom. During our conversation she mentioned that she and Caleb’s mom never thought that setting up their kids for a movie date would turn into a wedding. Both moms knew each other from church and while talking one day they realized they both have grown children. They decided to play matchmaker and set their kids up. Charlene told me she just wanted someone for her daughter to go to the movies with. A date turned into a relationship that later turned into marriage.
One of the best things that I love about photographing weddings is that I get to hear all the different stories on how couples met. I love all of them.
As you look through a few of my favorite images from their wedding photos, you’ll notice the love that Caleb and Rachel have for one another. Caleb may have shed a tear or two, but he was definitely happy to see his bride walking down the aisle to him.
Their ceremony backdrop had cherry blossom trees. I believe it’s one of Rachel’s favorite trees. She also had Toms shoes with the cherry blossom painted on them. Caleb is a big Star Trek fan and he and the groomsmen had matching socks and accessories.
